Miss Hickory and the Golden Driller

Dear Friends, I had no idea Tulsa was such an interesting place. Here I am posing with the Golden Driller. He is on the Tulsa State Fairgrounds and honors the oil drilling heritage of the region. He is the third largest free standing statue in the U.S. Kathleen tells me he has a brand new coat of paint and there are rumors they may dress him in a kilt for the Scottish Festival. Now that would be a lot of plaid!
